Campara: We didn't offer Jasarevic a settlement!

Prosecutor in the BiH Prosecution Dubravko Campara firmly denied allegations by lawyer Senad Dupovac that a plea bargain had ever been offered to Serbian citizen Mevlid Jasarevic, accused of the terrorist attack on the American Embassy in Sarajevo on 28 October of last year.

"The BiH Prosecutir never offered, nor will it offer, nor under any circumstances will it agree to a settlement in Jasarevic's case. The trial is continuing under normal procedures, as it was scheduled," Campara told Anatolia.

Commenting on the determined attitude of the proceeding prosecutor, Dupovac told Anatolia that he remains with the earlier statement that the BiH Prosecutor offered Jasarevic a plea bargain, and that it is the logical procedure for the prosecutor Campara.

"I said what I said and I stand by it," Dupovac said.

The lawyer Dupovac earlier said that the BIH Prosecution offered Mevlid Jasarevic a deal he would subsequently need to answer. Dupovac made the impression that the Prosecution wishes to withdraw from everything.
