Out of federation of cantons, Lagumdzija, Covic and Radoncic building federation of peoples

SDA President Sulejman Tihic called on Chairman of the Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda to resign from office.

"He must resign, seek a new mandate, form a new parliamentary majority, and seek support for that new majority. The SDA will do everything in accordance with the constitution and laws of BiH at the least to prevent this undemocratic act of dismissal of SDA ministers,"
Tihic said, not revealing whether SDA delegates would appear at the next session of the House of Peoples of BiH at which they will vote about the dismissal of ministers from that party.

At the extraordinary press conference, Tihic addressed reporters together with Chairman of the Presidency of BiH and Vice President of the SDA Bakir Izetbegovic and other senior officials.

The SDA leader rated the proposed amendments to the Constitution in connection with the European Court for Human Rights ruling on the Sejdic-Finci case - about which the new parliamentary majority agreed - as against the interests of the state of BiH and all her citizens
and peoples. Tihic claims that these proposed amendments would not solve the problem of discrimination of citizens that do not identify themselves as members of a constitutive people.

"The concept of the Federation of BiH changes because Lagumdzija, Covic, and Radoncic is creating a federation of peoples from a federation of cantons. That is one more contribution to the further division of not only the Federation, but BiH. Until now the principle has been that all delegates in the House of Peoples are MPs in cantonal assemblies, but now the House of Peoples delegates could be all from one canton, or even from one city," Tihic said.

Tihic placed the decision of the Constitutional Court on the cancellation of the Law on the Status of State Materiel in Republika Srpska on a level with the decision on the constitutive peoples throughout BiH, and stressed that the decision confirms the continuity of the statehood of BiH.

"It clearly and unambiguously showed that the materiel of the former SFRJ and JNA and Republic of BiH are in the possession of BiH, which is the only body authorized to use it," the SDA President concluded.
