FBiH Motorways began construction of the portion of the highway between Bijaca and Kravica in September 2011, and works should be completed by the end of September this year. Within this section, 5.25 kilometers in length, is the Bijaca border crossing.
 
During the expropriation of land in the Svilaj-Odzak section, 11 kilometers long, works should begin by the end of the year.
 
As stated in the FBiH Motorways announcement, the Indirect Taxation Administration will complete the expropriation of land for the Bijaca and Svilaj border crossings, while FBiH Motorways will build the parterre portion of the crossings (to the asphalt level without installation).
 
According to the text of the agreement between the Council of Ministers and the Croatian government to build a border section of the motorway in Corridor 5c, it is necessary to accelerate the preparation and construction of the Bijaca and Svilaj border crossigns.
 
At the time of Croatia's accession to the European Union, these will be border crossings between BiH and the EU, through which BiH will only be able to export animals, products of animal origin, fish, and other specific products.
