Radojicic visit to Srebrenica on Martyrs' Day shameful

Deputy Mayor of Srebrenica Camil Durakovic did not hide his displeasure that Igor Radojicic, President of the Republika Srpska National Assembly (NSRS), visited Srebrenica today and met only with representatives of the Serb people.

"I must express resentment that with one hypocritical visit, when survivors of the genocide are marking Martyrs' Day at the Potocari Memorial Center, the President of the National Assembly - the highest legislative body in the entity - came on an official visit to Srebrenica. That is his shame. I don't know whether he generally can look in the mirror, after such a political gaffe as this.

Unfortunately, we are dealing here with such matters, but nor is it strange that the President of the National Assembly sent a message to non-Serbs in Srebrenica that he, in an official visit to Srebrenica, today spoke exclusively with Serb candidates and municipal officials who are Serbs. That shows that the President of the highest legislative body sees Bosniaks in RS as second-class citizens and shows the institutional repression prepared for Bosniaks in Srebrenica if the SNSD wins in the upcoming local elections," Durakovic said.

Durakovic called on Srebrenicans to register in full force for the upcoming local elections by the end of the week.

"This is one more opportunity for Bosniaks who love BiH and Srebrenica to have a good reason to take a few days and fill out personal documents on the basis of which they could vote in the upcoming local elections in the city in order for us to win over this hateful force, or those who minimize the genocide with visits on Martyrs' Day and visit citizens of only one nationality although we are by the Constitution also a constitutive people. Obviously, they cannot hide their hypocrisy and their primitive national commitment to seeing the entity as exclusively Serb. It is now clear to us Bosniaks what awaits us if the SNSD wins the elections here in Srebrenica," Durakovic told Fena.
