Serbia if Croatia does not withdraw its blockade of opening Chapter 26.
Vucic this evening traveled to Brussels, and if an agreement is not reached with Federica Mogherini, the EU's high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, on ending the blockade, he would this evening leave Brussels and not participate in tomorrow's intergovernmental conference, at which they will consider opening chapters in Serbia's EU accession process, Prva Television reports.
Vucic said that he has had enough of Croatia's brutalization. "Serbia the whole time has been patient and tried not to react, but from now will talk differently," Vucic told Prva Television, Srna reports.
He announced that if Croatia does not withdraw the blockade, he would leave Brussels and address the public.
Vucic and Mogherini's working meeting precedes the EU-Serbia intergovernmental conference tomorrow in Brussels, at which it is expected that all three chapters in negotiation – 5 and 25, on which all countries earlier gave their consent, and 26, which is also expected to get the green light from all 28 member states – will be opened.
The working bodies of the EU are meeting both today and tomorrow with the aim, inter alia, of achieving consensus of all 28 member states to open Chapter 26, which covers the issues of education and culture.
